The base is situated within 50 km. from Astrakhan on a sand beach of one of the branches of Volga – the wide and deep river Kamyziak, and is surrounded by an ancient oak-poplar grove. The bend of three rivers allows reaching different regions of the Caspian seashore: Kirovsky, Nikitinsky, Kulaginsky banks and Rytyj and Beluzhij banks on the river Verkhnaya Kalinovka.
