The tourist base "General" is located in the beautiful place of Volga-Akhtubinsk flood-lands on the island Mantja and occupies the area of 48 sq. meters (130 km to the north of Astrakhan). Owing to the absence of man's impact in this place, the nature has kept its primeval state. This fact makes the base „General” unique. These places are remarkable for their untouched nature, water spaces, and the kingdom of birds and fish.

The base is glad to receive the tourists arriving by cars, air-planes or trains, the tourists who prefer a „lazy rest”, i.e. beach, water, sun, etc. and the tourists who prefer an active rest, i.e. hunting and fishing. Comfort, delicious food and good service are waiting for you. The transfer in minibus from the airport or from the railway station to the base is organized.
Accommodation: in a two-storeyed hotel with the rooms „de luxe” and „half de luxe”. Each room has two beds or one twin bed, a set of furniture and sanitary arrangements with shower cabin.
At the guests service are a cozy dining-room with a bar, furniture, TV and music mini-centre. Here you can have a good time in a good company. Our cooks are always ready to offer you the refined dishes made of fish, game and vegetables.
All natural riches of the island are accessible to hunters and fishermen. The river Volga is rich in fish: sazan, bream, tench, crucian, cat-fish, pike perch, etc. There are about 60 kinds of fish.Lakes, channels and former river-beds located on its territory, are rich in every possible kind of fish – sazan, bream, tench, crucian, cat-fish and pike perch.
There are predators – pike, asp and perch on rushy sandbanks. An excellent fishing is guaranteed during any time of a year! During summer period there are motor boats for the services of fishermen, and in winter ice-fishing with delivery to any point of the island on motor transport is organized. Our hunters will always help you to choose an ideal place and the necessary tackle. Summer sport and amateur fishing starts in April and ends in November.
In autumn the island is rich in various game-birds which can become your trophy. During winter period hunting for a furry animal (hare, fox, wolf) opens. To the place of hunting the hunters are delivered by motor boats or by motor transport.
Besides fishing and hunting we can organize the excursions to the territory of archeological museum in the open air, to the capital of the Golden Horde – Saraj-batu for you. And for fans of extreme rest – there is a safari, including the visiting of reserved places of Astrakhan semi-desert, sand-dunes and ancient river-beds where the remains of ancient sites and habitations are located.
At the guests services are: car park, billiard, caf-bar, floating vehicles park, motor transport, hunters services, treatment of trophies (smoking, drying), excursions to the historical monuments, extreme-tour – safari, reception and seeing-off of the guests.
